How I Tipped the Purple Cow, Attracted Media Attention, and Won New Customers worth Thousands of Dollars

In January 2005, with a one month old blog, I joined a business blog
contest, entering the Best Marketing Blog category. With less than 50
posts of content, I won the voting – Seth Godin’s blog took second
place. The contest itself was a PR campaign of the organizers and Seth
